Hello! I’m Gilbert Liu, a Junior studying a BFA in Game Art at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, with a focus in Game Environments.
My time at USC University’s Game Design program taught me the delicate art of creating well-balanced gameplay systems, while my years of 3D modeling experience allows me to craft visually striking worlds that players want to explore.
As a Environment Artist, I am proficient in industry-standard tools such as ZBrush, Maya, and Adobe Susbtance Painter, and I continuously strive to enhance my skills in game development and environmental design. In my spare time, I enjoy tabletop games, cooking, and traveling, always seeking inspiration from the world around me.
我的3D设计之旅始于中学,当时我对创造力与技术的交汇产生了浓厚的兴趣。在查普曼大学学习动画和视觉特效让我进一步磨练了自己的技能。
在高中期间,我专注于设计3D假肢,创造功能性与美观兼具的艺术作品。这段经历不仅提高了我的技术能力,也让我意识到与客户有效沟通以满足他们需求的重要性。
Currently, I work as a 3D Artist at USC, where I’m involved in an advanced game projects, responsible for designing 3D models and dressing game levels. Recently, I contributed to a senior thesis short film and initiated personal projects that showcase my ability to seamlessly integrate 3D animation into various media formats.
